New in Keesing Documentchecker USA’s 2020 Passport Series
USA’s new 2020 passport series design showcases American history, culture and traditions. The new US passports feature a polycarbonate biopage with Optically Variable Ink (OVI), a Multiple Laser Image (MLI), microtext and clear tactile artwork embossings. For protection of the holder’s main picture a DOVID is used. On the opposite page an additional picture of the holder is printed. This additional picture is built from microtext lines containing redundant data. Both pages will show an UV reaction (microtext and rainbow print effect). The biodata card is made of polycarbonate and personalised by laser engraving. The document also contains a contactless chip in the biodata card that meets ICAO specifications.
