Frontend Engineering Lead
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Frontend Engineering Lead to join our team. As the Frontend Engineering Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the development and design of our platform frontend, ensuring it delivers an exceptional user experience. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities.
Given that most of our team is in the Netherlands, we only consider candidates for this position who live within commuting distance to our office 2x/week.
What you’ll do in this role
- Leading the frontend engineering of our platform, delivering best in class customer user experiences.
- Collaborating closely with Backend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to defining and prioritizing frontend engineering initiatives.
- Taking ownership of the frontend architecture, ensuring it is scalable, capable of fast delivery of new features and improvements, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Actively contributing to our product teams to the development of new features and enhancements to existing ones, ensuring they meet high standards of usability, accessibility, and performance.
Job requirements
- You have extensive (5+ years) experience in frontend development using React and other frameworks.
- You have mastered Typescript, JavaScript / ES6+, HTML, CSS/SCSS.
- Bring at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in leading and mentoring.
- You are a strong problem-solver with solid analytical skills and the ability to propose and implement effective technical solutions.
- You have excellent (English) communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Have experience with agile development methodologies and working in a fast-paced, iterative development environments.
- You are familiar with UI/UX design principles and have a passion for delivering user-friendly and accessible interfaces.
- You can build trust and work well with diverse groups of people, internally and externally.
Our current tech stack
- Our new web applications are developed predominantly in React.
- Our platform technologies are based on microservices architecture and built on .NET.
- We are going Cloud using Azure.
Salary range:
5.000 – 6.000 gross / month

- Interview with Tech Lead (~45min)
- Technical Interview / Test (90-120min). Live coding with Tech Lead on candidate’s PC sharing its screen.
